Memorial Held for Active Duty Army Sergeant and Occupy San Diego Activist
“U.S. Army Master Sergeant Jay Polk has reportedly been killed overseas while on active duty with U.S. special forces, according to friends and family in San Diego, where he had been living recently.
Chaplain Ron, who has ministered to the Occupy members, grew up in Barksdale, Mississippi town as Polk where the families knew each other. Polk left that town when he joined the Army. ‘Twelve days ago, he asked me to pray for him and said that he was worried,’ he recalled. Polk had just learned of his deployment, but said that ‘he could not divulge anything, since it was really secretive.’ Polk said his goodbyes to friends in San Diego just days before news came of his demise.
May you Rest in Peace, Mr. Polk.

LEGAL EXPERTS BLAST SAN DIEGO FOR ARREST OF RAY LUTZ, FORMER CONGRESSIONAL CANDIDATE, OVER VOTER REGISTRATIONS AT CIVIC CENTER PLAZA “The former City Attorney suggested media should submit public records requests to find out who, if anyone, at City Hall instructed San Diego Police to arrest Lutz for setting up a voter registration table. ‘This is what they do in banana republicans and undemocratic societies,’ he noted. Aguirre added that both the City and the property owner could be liable for violations of Lutz’s rights.”
This is unconscionable! If our president does not immediately step up and CONDEMN this desecration the most fundamental right of Americans, he should be impeached! Occupy 2012 elections!

Occupy Los Angeles, Day #14 – STOP False War with IRAN… NO to New 9/11
What this gentleman is speaking about is this: Biden: “Nothing Off the Table After Iran D.C. Terror Plot on Saudi ambassador to U.S.“
VP Biden needs to know that a”nothing is off the table” for the American people in cleaning out the ditrius in Washington D.C., either.
More on this at my “Slaying of The Gmork” post. Most are aware now that Israel is under a great deal of pressure both internally and externally to straighten up over there in the ME. Americans are in the midst of our own “Tahir” moment. PowersThatBe don’t want peace breaking out—they want status quo warmongering for profit, and they want global power. The Euro is in dire straits. Our U.S. veterans are joining the OWS movement, which scares the pants off PowersThatBe. Last, but surely not least, Sen. Bob Grahm has unleashed new info that implicates Saudi Arabia in the 911 attack, pushing for a new and independent 911 investigation. No coincidence then that this accusation against Iran is over a Saudi ambassador (sympathy ploy). My intuition is “telling” me that sometime in November (possibly 5th, 11th, 22nd, 29th ), PowersThatBe will try to stage another overwhelming “terror” event in our world. Just pay attention. And remember, IF something occurs, turn your gaze first to the Wall Street and global mafiosos, who have bought our government.

HuffPost/Jack Rothman: Occupy Wall Street: Los Angeles Branch “For a new and inexperienced group, there was more organizational acumen in evidence than I would have expected. There were committees on food, finances, logistics, civic engagement, outreach, welcoming, art-entertainment-education, and a medical team. Committee meeting times and places were posted around the encampment. Everyone looked serious and focused. There appeared to be a long-term commitment. Some people were evidently acting in a leadership capacity and maintaining a functioning action community. Overall, I came away with a good feeling about how this was coming together and have an optimistic outlook about further developments in this movement. A critical question is whether important elements of the left (unions, progressive political groups, grass roots activists) will join in and propel forward this remarkable but delicate youth-generated revolt — the sooner the better.

10/02/11 LA Times: Occupy Los Angeles protesters camp for second night at City Hall “Protesters who
have camped outside Los Angeles City Hall since Saturday, inspired by on-going Occupy Wall Street demonstrations in New York, will spend a second night sleeping on the pavement this evening. Loosely organized by a group called Occupy Los Angeles, several hundred people marched and rallied Sunday, holding signs that blasted corporate influence on government. They used Internet sites to mobilize and get attention.”
“Following a procedure established Saturday night, the protesters were to be moved from the grass on the south lawn of City Hall to the sidewalk at 10:30 p.m. Sunday, and back from the pavement to the lawn at 6 a.m. Monday.”
