Involved administratively in the field of Civil Engineering for the better part of my career life. After 9/11, I determined to go back to school and learn something that combined my love of medicine, writing, and language. I have been a self-employed transcriber since that graduation.

I am an average American mother of two children who were not taught what to think but how to think for themselves. Seeker of Truth with more questions than answers. Raised and educated around an Italian Roman Catholic influence in an American middle-class society, but my father was instrumental in teaching me to explore my questions independently and in depth and to step back to see the larger picture—to step outside the box.
I write when inspiration hits me and I’ve set up this little journal to share in the Journey of the Collective Mind with fellow Seekers as I log on and record personal life experiences and views that until now have mainly stayed in my diaries. While I, like many in our world, are increasing frustrated with how our societies are disintegrating, intuitive experience has given me every reason to see Light at the end of this tunnel, so to speak.
My blogging has basically been my resource center so I can look back and never forget Our Times—like an on-line diary. When I find new information that fits one of my posts, I will go back and add it, so each post usually is updated from time to time. But, although I really do this for myself, I openly share it and hope others will find the information useful for further knowledge. Links I post can reach across the whole sprectum of thought and news sources—left, right, center, up, down—I try to go where Truth resonates and sources can be independently confirmed, which often means alternative news outlets.
Born with Sun in Sagittarius, Moon in Gemini, and Pisces ascending, I may tendto digress and wander on these pages, but my heart is truly into the Journey together. I was lucky enough to have one grandmother named Luzelle (“Little Light”) and the other named Orsolina (“Little Bear”), which is probably why I wander through the clouds with my feet on the ground. ♥

Hi Sam,
Thank you for letting me know.
I know others will want to help you in getting some information, but they will not see your comment unless it is placed directly on the “Peleliu” page. I tried to copy/paste it there but it will not show your name.
Here’s the page you will want to enter your information. http://liveyourlight.wordpress.com/2008/03/19/peleiu-1944-wwii-battle-for-bloody-nose-ridge-in-pictures/
In the meantime, I will post the info on your grandmother’s brother to the site.
Thank you!
Valerie

My Grandmother’s brother was on Peleliu : CARMODY, Wayne A., 1st Lt. Co F, 2nd Bn, 5th Marines, 1st Marine Division. Wayne played football at the University of South Dakota. He was wounded in action on Peleliu 9/26/44. He died on the USS Relief 10/3/44 and was buried at sea. He was awarded the Purple Heart and Silver Star. I would like to hear from anyone that might remember him.
I hope you will post info on him.
Love your Blog!
Sam

Dear Valerie,
Thank you for the compassionate work. I am looking for someone who might have known my husband’s father, PFC Joseph A. Flores, Third Armored Amphibian Battalion, First Marine Division. He received the Purple Heart. I am trying to find out, if he was at Peleliu, and if anyone remembers him.
Again, thank you for the lovely site.
Respectfully, Rebecca

My dad and his best friend were on Peleliu. Dad was Oscar Edwin Reece and friend Thomas Foster McCarthy. They were with 8th 155 mm gun battalion fmf. His name on the list would be great. Thanks

Hi Valerie,
I have only just found your website, but the first article has already made me a fan! In fact, you write along exactly the same lines as I think, and in my book I have touched on some of the things in this article. Keep happy!
