I’d seen it tens of times in my lifetime. The heavy guarding of money as it was wheeled through a casino or into a Brinks armoured truck. I never gave it a thought until April 06, 2001 . My journal entry of that event seems to read much more casually than what came to be an initial Epiphany that seems to keep giving me more insights all these many years since:
“04/06/01: Went with a friend to the casino this morning. As we walked in, security guards were just everywhere! As we walked further in, it seemed almost comical to me to see more guards than customers! An ‘a-ha’ flashed in my mind. It had to be about moving money! It struck me that all this intense, dense, paranoid energy was expended on a cart full of basically worthless paper! Why do we place such value on a pile of paper backed by nothing? With this insight, I broke out in a fit of laughter seeing all this energy focused on fear and greed. Boy, are our priorities screwed up…”
I remember when that insight hit me, my surroundings took on a somewhat surreal quality. At first my eyes jiggled a bit and I shook my head quickly to try to clear it. Then, I felt as though I had seen a guarded money cart for very the first time in my life and saw it as so much wasted and expended energy on what? A pile of paper? I couldn’t stop laughing….
Since that day, there have been similar episodes for me. I was in a grocery store when I rounded a corner and saw a couple standing at the dairy department. As I passed by, I heard a couple (both quite overweight) debating about whether to by two or four containers of ice cream! Any time before, I would not have even noticed them but this time, I did my best to contain the laughter welling up in me because of what clearly seemed to me a nonsensical scene showing how small and trivial we had managed to make our daily lives.
I watched a debate over “assisted suicide”, and it hit me how our society contradicts and mixes messages into such confusion and distortion. I mean, the act of suicide is looked upon as giving up and taught as morally wrong in society. At the same time, Hara Kiri (Seppuku) and Military/CIA operatives taking cyanide pills have been viewed as an “honorable” self-destruction? ["brainwashing and torture -- had led the CIA Agency to furnish U-2 pilots with cyanide capsules and the infamous poison needle hidden in a bisected silver dollar. "]
When my son was just a little boy, I often cooked breakfast in my nightgown, thinking nothing of it. But one morning, he gave me a huge wake-up call. As I cooked, he watched as usual, but then he said “Mom, do you know you can see through that nightgown?” My boy, that innocent little son of mine, had practically overnight it seemed, undergone that hormonal change that turns a small boy into a young man. There I stood, feeling like Eve and wishing I had a robe nearby. [Ummm...perhaps it was a step up in DNA/hormonal system (pineal gland) that made Adam and Eve aware of their "nakedness."]
You see? Our DNA and hormones are timed to open to Awakenings at many milestones in life. That was what it was like for me the day I suddenly saw the “$100K Elephant In The Casino” as though for the first time….for what it really was….a fear construct based entirely on social conditioning. A Paper Tiger.
Since then, I have viewed the world very differently, especially when America’s 911 tragedy a few months later had pushed the button, opened the door, Awakened the world. Arguing over how much ice cream to buy was probably the last thing on the minds of people anywhere in the world.
Here is an excerpt from a talk I gave on Astrology in 1996 called “Astrology, Science, and the Spiritual Movement“:
“Rather than wielding the power of greed and fear (dressed up as profit and competition), we are beginning to wield the power of grace and harmony. I believe the great amount of violence and militant behavior today to be the death knell cry of those who resist and refuse to move with the course and flow of energy now bringing the world society into the 21st century – and a new era.”
Our current global economic collapse is an obvious indicator that what once worked no longer works. Notice that murder/suicides are popping into the news quite a bit. This is not a gun issue—there are many ways to kill—this is a psychological and energetic issue about those who are not able or willing to bend like the tree, so to speak. As stated above, it is kicking and screaming not to move into this new Cycle. I went on to say:
“As we ride the monolith into this new century, we will surely witness a marriage between science and ancient spiritual wisdom. In his book, “The Holographic Universe(Harper Collins, 1991), Michael Talbot explores the multitudes of relationships between the otherworldly properties of subatomic matter and spiritual phenomena such as dreams, out-of-body (OOB) experiences, and psychic vision. According to Talbot’s research “those who have returned from near-death experiences have often embarked on a quest to gain knowledge about the properties of quantum physics. Mr. Talbot sums it up thusly: ‘Are they, and by proxy the rest of the human race, being prepared for some coming confluence between science and the spiritual?’ I believe so.”
And in year 2009, we are clearly heading to one huge collective opening of so-called “junk” DNA, hormonal (particularly pineal and adrenal) jolts, and energetic portals that have been carefully timed to Awaken nearly simultaneously (a few years in Earth time) around the world by 2012. Some will not be able to let go of strictly material and ego-based mantras due to a limited view of Self. Many will understand to bend like the tree as the winds blow and allow their seeds to scatter and take root in new and Light-enriched soil while maintaining the integrity of its sovereign inheritance.
