We are heading toward the most critical election in the history of America’s founding and it is so very important that we OPEN OUR EYES AND VOTE WITH OUR CONSCIENCE (that is, if the election process isn’t maliciously shut down….that’s another story though). This whole knee-jerk reaction to vote for the one who is pushed on you by the mainstream media, or to vote a certain party just because your parents did, or because s/he has “charm” really has got to go. Now more than ever, it is of utmost importance to have the EARS TO LISTEN and the EYES TO SEE past all that. What is the candidate saying or did they really say anything at all? Make a list of solid, concrete, researchible plans that your candidate has presented to lead America through the social, environmental, and financial upheaval creeping up on us. Make that list, and I will wager that it will be a blank page or maybe one vague idea. I have listened to all candidates on both sides of the coin and my notebook has a long list from only ONE who actually has presented a clear plan; in fact has a long list of issues presented for your consideration:
Yet, if you are watching mainstream media today, you would hardly know he is even running. The truth is, the Los Angeles Times for 02/01/2008 has announced that Dr. Paul has raised more money for his campaign in the last quarter than any other GOP in the running …’by a Texas mile.” This money is coming from grassroots and not corporate lobbyists, which makes this even more astounding. We The People are doing it! He came in 2nd in Nevada and in Louisiana (and it appears it may have been 1st once they do the recount). Did you hear about that in mainstream news? Now…
Imagine if an election were being held in ancient Rome and the candidates were:
The Roman Emperor, his puppet Pontius Pilate, Judas, and Jesus.
Who would you choose?
The power monger…because you fear?
The petty dictator….because he’s “charming”?
The traiter….who flip/flops on his loyalty?
“…do unto others as you would have done unto you.” (Good idea from a visionary).
